From Industrial Roots to Generative Horizons: How Video Generation AI Automation is Reshaping Alcoy

Nestled in the mountains of Alicante, Spain, Alcoy (Alcoi) has long been celebrated for its rich industrial heritage, deep-rooted manufacturing traditions, and the iconic Moros y Cristianos festival. Today, however, this historic city is quietly carving out a new identity at the intersection of tradition and cutting-edge technology.

Powered by local innovation ecosystems, academic talent from the Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV) campus, and forward-thinking municipal initiatives like the Techviu creative and technological hub, Alcoy is emerging as an unlikely hotbed for video generation AI automation.

The Convergence of Industrial Heritage and AI

For decades, Alcoy’s economy relied heavily on textiles, paper, and metal manufacturing. When global markets shifted, the region leaned into resilience, pivoting toward design, engineering, and digital transformation.

In recent years, this evolution took a massive leap forward with the launch of collaborative tech ecosystems. Platforms like Techviu Alcoy were established specifically to bridge the gap between advanced digital tech—such as artificial intelligence, virtual reality, and computer animation—and traditional regional industries.
